In 2004 I graduated with my B.A., gathered Mia (my pekingese), and drove cross country with a
dress form slouched over Mia back to my home town of Hartville, Ohio. Back in Ohio, I took
two metal smithing classes at The University of Akron while working towards my education
degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. The metals classes taught me the basics that I
needed to pursue my dreams in the art of jewelry design. After my courses in metals I recieved
a tortch as a gift and I began Allie M.
Today, my designs are inspired from nature, inspirational quotes, color, and things that
encourage us all. In each piece of Allie M. jewelry is a part of me. If the piece doesn't look the
way that I imagined it I will stare at it and fix it until it looks just the way I imagined or better.
Sometimes I surprise myself.
Allie M. Designs now produces hand-made pendants, rings, earrings, and bracelets. Most of
the designs are made from sterling silver, copper, resin, and paper.
